Designed by Scott Parenteau for Maker Faire 2013, an event created by Make magazine to “celebrate arts, crafts, engineering, science projects, and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset,” the “Walking Pod” was inspired by Parenteau’s love for Fuller’s dome and Theo Jansen’s imaginative Strandbeest machines.
